Unfortunately the Nationally Approved Salon
scheme is no longer being run by HABIA or the government... though we
are proud to have remained Brightons ONLY approved Salon during the
several years this scheme was active... When we opened our salon
in 1995 the most important concern to
us was to try give our clients a higher level of service and value. We've created a relaxing environment in the salon, we've
provided a wide choice of complimentary refreshments (including wine!), and
we use the highest quality products available to us. |
|
|
But how can we 'guarantee' to our clients we actually know how to cut
and colour hair? The unfortunate fact was that previously we couldn't.
Anyone can open a hairdressing salon and make great claims about their
'skills'. That was why we were so genuinely excited about the introduction of the
Nationally Approved Salon campaign. At last here was a scheme run by the
Hairdressing Training Board (HABIA)
and supported by the government, which is designed to benefit the
client. It sets strict criteria for us to meet or beat and then ensures
we maintain these standards by the use of 'mystery shoppers' and formal
visits.
We're very proud to have become Brighton's first Nationally Approved
Salon and we're equally proud to have joined a list of famous names like
Andrew Collinge, Charles Worthington and Vidal Sassoon who already
support this campaign; and like a growing number of hairdressers across
the country, are prepared to put our standards to the test.
